Exposure Conditions

Exposure Light: Ultraviolet Light generated by Metal-halide Lamp

Exposure Time: Exposed by a 3000watt lamp at a distance of 100cm, with a vacuum aid, the required exposure time are 40 seconds for TP-101 type PS Plate.

Exposure Performance: The exposure performance can be evaluated scientifically by using a Plate Control Wedge (such as the UGRA Wedge). The ideal exposure conditions can be reached by the following step:

1. Keep the screen of the exposure panel clean without any dust, scrape, or stain on it.
2. The film used for exposure shall be clean and the density of the image area shall above 3.0 .
3.  When the UGRA Plate Control Wedge (PCW) is used during exposure, the exposure time can be considered as correct if the Step 3 becomes clear on the continuous-tone wedge.
4. The correct exposure cannot be determined from the continuous-tone wedge alone. It is necessary to make a series of exposure and evaluate the reproduction of the micro-line shown on the UGRA PCW. Once the correct exposure for the plate has been determined, it then can be maintained by keeping the reproduced continuous-tone constant.
